Collaboration with Kekru for a session featuring poetry, storytelling, film screening etc.

As the maiden event hosted at our new project space, we have a collaboration with Kekru. Kekru sessions 05 is the fifth episode of a gradually evolving ‘session’ featuring poetry readings, storytelling, music performances, talks, film screenings, etc.
We had several young emerging poets/writers – Premkumar Khumanthem, Thawan Irengbam, Natalidita Nk, Deepika Gurumayum, Tomchi Loitongbam and others; Tomnow Chongtham, a guitar percussionist; Byron Aihara, a storyteller/photographer; and notably, renown poet and writer Arambam Menchoubi contributing to the session.
Two short experimental films by Chaoba Thiyam, Womb and Black Pot and Movement; And a documentary on an inspiring community forest conservation project The Jungle Man… Loiya directed by Farha Khatun produced by Films Division was also screened followed by a brief interaction with the filmmaker and subject.
